Emerging Market Handset Programme
Launched in February 2005, the GSM Association's Emerging Market Handset initiative (EMH) aims "to give 80% of the world’s population access to mobile communications by 2010".
Information Technology Access For Everyone (ITAFE)
Launched at the World Economic Forum's 2004 Annual Meeting, ITAFE sought to "to accelerate efforts related to digital access and inclusion".
NEPAD e-Schools
Project to connect all African schools to the Internet by 2020.
Project Inkwell
The goal of Project Inkwell, which seeks to become a standards body in the area, is "to accelerate the deployment of appropriate technologies onto K-12 desktops worldwide".
