Kenya Hosts Pitching Competition for World-Changing African Startups

1776 Challenge Cup Brings Promising Startups to International Stage

In partnership with the World Bank Group, iHub and Nairobi Garage are hosting the Africa Regional Finals of the 1776 Challenge Cup, a global pitching competition for startups that seek to solve the world's greatest challenges.

1776 Challenge Cup Regional in Nairobi, Kenya

Global incubator and seed fund 1776 teamed up with more than 50 incubators around the world to hold local and regional pitching competitions. The Africa Regional Finals will showcase the most promising startups from competitions held across the continent in Accra, Addis Ababa, Casablanca, Harare, Kampala, Lagos, and Pretoria.

Forty-five winning startups from nine regional competitions will be invited to the Global Finals in Washington, D.C., where they will compete for over $1 million in prizes. The startups will connect with potential customers, investors, and media that will help them expand on a global scale.
