Each Center will provide early stage financing and other services to enable local enterprises to proactively and profitably develop innovative climate technology solutions that meet local needs. With support from the United Kingdom’s UKaid and The Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and in partnership with the Government of Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) Facility infoDev is now launching a Climate Innovation Center (CIC) in Ethiopia, planned to open mid 2013.
The Ethiopia CIC will provide a holistic set of early-stage financing, business support and capacity building services to the Ethiopian private sector, working to develop, launch and grow innovative climate technology ventures that promote Ethiopia’s Climate Resilience and Green Economy.
