infoDev is currently accepting applications for a Program Analyst to join infoDev's team in Washington D.C. 

The Analyst will work to advance infoDev’s “Mainstreaming of ICT” theme, specializing in the embedding and integration of ICT in key economic and social sectors, such as rural development, clean energy, agriculture, the environment and good governance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record and field experience in implementing development projects or technical assistance activities, with a clear focus on facilitating the use of ICT as a tool to help meet core development objectives.  
His/her duties and responsibilities will include to:

• Develop and implement a work program for infoDev on the use of ICT in a range of critical sectors: rural development, clean energy, agriculture, good governance and the environment. Provide technical expertise on how ICT can best be integrated into these sectors, including effective technologies for serving rural and underserved areas, public-private partnership models for enhancing access to ICTs, effective strategies for, and trends in, the development of infrastructure, services, applications and content in developing countries and effective planning of ICT components in development projects;

• Serve as the main focal point for infoDev’s partnerships with key organizations in the identification, approval, implementation and management of projects, activities and knowledge creation in the area of mainstreaming of ICT;

• Liaise closely with counterparts from the World Bank, and from the Sustainable Development Network in particular, to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration on joint projects;

• Co-ordinate with GICT colleagues from CITPO and IFC as a team to advance a well-defined and articulated shared work agenda under the “Mainstreaming of ICT” theme;

• Where appropriate, participate as an ICT expert in World Bank project teams and international events, projects and forums on behalf of infoDev; organize, facilitate and participate in meetings, projects or activities on behalf of infoDev;

• Advance infoDev’s analytical agenda on “Mainstreaming of ICT” issues by researching, analyzing and proposing cutting-edge new areas of work for infoDev to undertake;

• Work to assure the quality, intellectual rigor and development impact of infoDev’s knowledge products and analytical agenda under the “Mainstreaming of ICT” theme by implementing field activities, consultation meetings and peer review mechanisms with key experts, practitioners and stakeholders to meticulously test the conclusions and recommendations contained therein;

• Continually monitor, evaluate and assess the quality and development impact of infoDev’s work in the “Mainstreaming of ICT” theme for developing countries;

• Develop and manage online communities of practice to share expertise and generate best practice and knowledge on the use of ICT in key sectors, where appropriate;

• Liaise on behalf of infoDev with colleagues from national, regional and international agencies, organizations or associations, ICT and development practitioners, key sector experts, infoDev donors, international development organizations and other World Bank sectors (such as energy, environment, agriculture, rural development, transport, financial services, and private sector advisory services).
