Internews is leading a team of experts from the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), the Transnational Data Recording Service, and SONAS Innovation to develop a set of online knowledge maps and toolkit focused on E-Government in developing countries.
The Knowledge Map will highlight “what is known about e-government and e-governance,” including a critical survey of the related secondary literature and case studies, extracting and briefly summarizing key lessons learned and best practices.
The web-based toolkit will draw on the vast existing literature and tools already developed in this area and will focus on how e-government projects in developing countries can and should be prepared and managed. It will comprise a practical set of tools and draw heavily on the Knowledge Map and case studies from both a national perspective and sector based e-government experiments.
The e-government knowledge map and toolkit site has issued a call for submissions, which can be accessed at the infoDev E-Government website.
infoDev is currently sponsoring the development of a Knowledge Map and Toolkit, along with related training materials, in the field of e-government.
