Global Forum in Hyderabad closes with recommendations and action plans

Participants call for stronger regional and global networks of cooperation to promote ICT-enabled innovation

Concluding four days of rich discussions, knowledge-sharing and networking, participants at the 2nd Global Forum on Business Incubation and Innovation unanimously endorsed a set of recommendations affirming their commitment to work together with partners and their Governments (national and regional) to support the development of a global network to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship through business incubation in the developing economies.

Forum Recommendations

At the conclusion of the 2nd Global Forum, the assembled delegates representing incubators and innovators from over 60 countries issued the Forum Recommendations.

Regional Action Plans

Regional Networks presented their respective Action Plans which will be implemented over the next year and a set of activities were agreed for the global network.

  • Africa - Estelle Sowah (Busy Internet, Ghana)
  • Latin America and the Caribbean - Paulo Miranda (ANPROTEC, Brazil)
  • Middle East and North Africa - Omar Hamarneh (iPARK, Jordan's Technology Incubator)
  • Asia - R.M.P Jawahar (TREC-STEP, India)
  • Eastern Europe and Central Asia - Domnica Cotet (ICTCM, Romania)
