In August 2008 Mr. Stig Josef Trommer was appointed Senior Operations Officer for infoDev, where he supervises the operations, communications, and resource management teams. Previously, Mr. Trommer spent twelve years in the Latin America Region of the World Bank and was responsible for the coordination of Bank operational activities in Panama and Costa Rica.

In his current position, Mr. Trommer advises infoDev’s Program Manager on overall strategic direction, key budget issues, and program marketing. He led the team responsible for enhancing operational management and strengthening innovative, results-based communications for donors and other stakeholders in the ICT for Development field. Mr. Trommer was awarded a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in International Economics Policy. In addition to native Spanish, he is fluent in both English and Danish.
