This prize aims at promoting social business projects, targeting the African countries of Orange's footprint, with a large focus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and innovation.
The projects presented should use ICTs innovation as a mean for African development with a special focus on African countries of Orange's footprint.
Candidates, regardless of nationality, must be over 21 years old and can either be students or entrepreneurs running their business for less than three years.
Application will be open from May 22nd to September 21st 2012. (11:59 GMT)
Projects will be shortlisted by a jury, including experts, researchers and professionals in ICTs, innovation and development in Africa. The three winners will receive a financial support (€25K, €15K, €10K) along with a mentoring support to help them develop their activities.
The awards will be delivered during the international congress of telecommunications in Africa, the AfricaCom, on November 14th, 2012 in Cape Town (South Africa).
