infoDev announces awards for projects that advance the use of ICT for Development

Projects are funded by the Korean Government in an effort to promote ICT for sector development, economic and social growth, and poverty reduction in developing countries.

9 October 2008 | Proposals were submitted in response to the Call for Proposals under the Korean Turst Fund for ICT for Development. The Korean Trust Fund finances projects chosen followig a competitive selection process of proposals received from operational units for the World Bank. More

Desktop virtualization as means of providing low-cost computers for schools

7 October 2008 | The development community is experiencing an explosion of interest in providing low cost devices, such as laptops, to students in developing countries. infoDev is now working to develop a web-based “community of practice” that will share lessons among the different initiatives. More
