Solar Heating: a New Power Player in Kenya

Solimpexs Africa is Supported by the World Bank's Climate Technology Program

In Kenya, a new law requires people use solar power if they are heating large amounts of water. A Kenyan company is helping people meet that requirement with locally made solar power units, benefitting both the economy and the environment.

Solimpexs Africa is one of the 270 green enterprises supported by the World Bank's Climate Technology Program, an initiative powered by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian Aid), Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DANIDA), Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
